The Universe does perfectly create what you think about. So I'm focusing on what I truly want, harmonic wealth in all areas for me and all my family. Wealth, physically, spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, relationally and financially. Lately, I'm flooding my space with Abraham Hicks tapes and books,mind movies, meditation and Chopra.

You'll notice I put in a feed to the Chopra Blog, named 'Intent'. He has an interesting take on Obama and Palin.

I'm excited about my new Fashion and Makeup Blog. It's called StrawberryGlitter, a collaboration for me and my daughter, Maria. She's the fashion and makeup diva and I'm the business sense. MAC cosmetics did Maria's makeup for senior prom. Isn't she beautiful? All evening, everyone told her she looked like a princess. Every woman needs those memories where she feels elegant and beautiful.

StrawberryGlitter is about makeup tips and fashion buys. I'm planning to add my own advice and lessons for maintaining beauty after a certain age. We love handbags too and they will definitely be featured. So stay tuned. I'll add the links soon!

Juanita rubbed the linament into her gnarled fingers, grateful for the heating relief. She dug into her patient's shoulders with gusto, all the while, chattering about her latest bingo win and all the latest goings on of her neighbors.

With a swift push of her palm, she cracked the man's neck and he grunted in soothing pain. Juanita had been practicing for nearly sixty years, since her own mother, also a curandera had looked into her fourteen year old daughter's hands and proclaimed, "Mija, you have your job here in your hands. I'll teach you the herbs and how to rub away pain. With your eyes, you'll look into their future and decide how much to tell them."

With that, Juanita's fate had been sealed.

Spitting out the dirt, he kept the pebbles along the inside of his mouth like a chaw of tobacco. Might come in handy if his fists gave out. Meanwhile, his opponent was still pummeling away at his back. In the distance, he could hear, “Angel, get up, hit him man!”

Finally, tired of waiting, Angel lifted himself on his elbows and turned over, pushing the now-heaving Puente off his chest. Drawing back, he planted a firm fist on Puente’s scratchy, puffy cheek. With one swoop and a shocked expression, his boss fell back and passed out neatly in the middle of the arroyo.

A year ago, Angel might have run from a confrontation. Any fights were excuses for being fired. With this new boss, he couldn’t take any more aggravation. His annoyance had turned to anger when Puente had started shoving him.

A few minutes later, inside the bar, the crew from the New Mexico Department of Transportation, District 5, including Angel and Puente were tossing back a few Coors, a cool respite from the searing Clines Corners heat that didn’t quit, even after 5pm when their shift ended. Elysa walked up to the table with a second round of drinks, courtesy of Angel’s cousin, David. “Hey bro, finally you acted like a man instead of a mouse.” Snickers and snorts accompanied his cousin’s toast.
